th2studio Open House – Your Questions Answered

Front courtyard

On 6 & 7 March we showcased our new collections at our very own open house and we were inundated with questions about the new products as well as requests to share the paint colours and finishes. The event took place in a double-fronted house, laid out over 3 floors and located in the heart of Chelsea’s interior design district. This quirky building is very much part of our DNA – it was originally the offices and design studio for Taylor Howes Designs and th2 Designs, the team behind th2Studio. It has now been completely transformed into a luxurious home with nine rooms filled with th2Studio furniture, lighting and accessories.

The Entrance – Eclectic Entrance room

Entrance before & after

The original open spiral staircase has been retained but completely updated with a warm grey paint finish and textured woven vinyl covers the treads – a super practical finish which adds a homely layer. High ceilings give a sense of scale and space, with open doors through to the kitchen and reception room creating a fluid connection. The mix of furniture, organic texture, modern accessories and striking artwork create an eclectic feel whilst still being completely functional.

Dining/Kitchen – Organic Eats room

Dining room - Organic Eats

The kitchen-dining space is a perfect mix of style and function – the dark Espresso Design kitchen provides a streamlined backdrop and walls are painted a dark blue, accented with white and gold metallic details for an on-trend but soothing palette. The dining table and rattan chairs blend natural materials with geometric patterns and industrial metal legs for a modern bohemian twist. Take your coffee outside to a hidden corner of calm in the busy city and an extra extension to the living space.

Reception Room – Tailored & Timeless room

Reception room - Tailored & Timeless

The living space is a stylish sanctuary filled with comfortable seating. It blends organic texture with a relaxed colour palette. The sofa was designed after a trip to Paris and inspired by the chic seating in a hotel lobby –navy linen with an ivory trim. Paired with pops of mustard and graphic patterns alongside striking black and white photographs by Stuart Redler – this room has an upscale gallery feel.

The Parisian inspiration is continued here and the look is extremely dramatic with layers of vibrant blue and touches of black. The team used their favourite wallpaper from Elitis (a patchwork pony skin vinyl paper) and the Japanese inspired black metal mirror keeps the mood contemporary.

Master Suite – The Perfect Sleep room

Master suite - Perfect Sleep

Spanning the entire width of the 1st floor, the master suite is a triumph in contemporary living with a spacious master bedroom, walk-in dressing room and generous bathroom all bathed in natural light. Centre stage is a stylish new take on a traditional four-poster bed. Its height and scale make a bold statement with clean, elegant lines for a modern appearance. Bedsides in dark green are extra wide and part of the new th2Studio bedside collection. The modern take on tradition is also reflected in the use of hurricane lamps. The room is dressed with natural texture and gorgeous green and soft grey hues for a calming aesthetic.

The bathroom feels instantly calming. A mixture of herringbone and large format tiles create a subtle but on-trend feature, in soothing grey and marble tones for a luxury spa feel. The freestanding bath and walk-in shower are of course oversized for that extra bit of indulgence. At th2Studio we love The White Company and dressed the bathroom space with their luxury towels and spa collection products

Bedroom Two – Escape To Sleep room

2nd Bedroom - Escape To Sleep

This bedroom has a distinctly masculine feel with earthy tones and pared back furniture. Our new headboard (the Simply Stated) is covered in wool and detailed with stitched leather and Harvey’s chair, upholstered in soft chocolate leather is oh so comfy. The metal frame adds an industrial edge which is picked up with the lighting choices.

Bedroom Three – Style Sleep room

3rd Bedroom - Style Sleep

Small in size, but big in comfort, this double bedroom layers blush pink and warm grey tones and mixes soft velvet and linens for a cosy effect. We designed a new simple bedside with a small footprint to maximize the space and teamed this with an architectural lamp one side of the bed and its partner floor lamp on the other. It was everyone’s favourite room!
